About the Creator

Hello! My name is Lauren Randall and I am a graduate student studying English Literature at Wright State. Predictably, I am a fan of books. But I have created this website to showcase a particular genre, a particular type of book: the neo-Victorian novel. While I am certainly not an expert on the conventions of Victorian (or neo-Victorian) fiction, I am interested in how our collective "heritage" becomes skewed through the media we produce and consume. Neo-Victorian novels often interrogate or problematize this phenomenon, and I would love for you to join me in tracing some of those interrogations through critically analyzing primary texts and secondary sources.
